Cosmic 'DNA'
Magnetic forces at the center of the galaxy have twisted a nebula into the shape of DNA, the first time it has been observed in the cosmos.
The DNA nebula is about 80 light-years long and about 300 light-years from the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.
Magnetic field lines at the galactic center are about 1,000 times stronger than on Earth. They run perpendicular to the black hole, but parallel through the nebula. Scientists think that twisting of these lines, by a giant gas disk that orbits the black hole several light-years away, is what causes the double helix shape.
Well - 'As Above, So Below' - from cellular to cosmic DNA, the pattern, the connectivity, is the same. Evolution works on all levels.

Programming the Universe
As I have posted earlier, the MIT quantum computer scientist Seth Lloyd has just published a new work called 'Programming the Universe: A Quantum Computer Scientist Takes on the Cosmos' - a book that explains the origins of how our universe operates as a super quantum computer.
In a recent interview, Seth Lloyd was quoted as saying:
What is the universe computing when we are not hijacking it for our own purposes?
It computes itself. It computes the flow of orange juice as you drink it, or the position of each atom in your cells.
Um, how many times have you seen The Matrix?
Sadly, only once. In The Matrix, what you see is fake - a simulation of bits - which is only a facade of what is real beneath it. But our universe is a simulation so exact that it is indistinguishable from the real thing. Our universe is one big honking quantum mechanical computer."
So...more mainstream science is now accepting and discussing both quantum and holographic understandings of our physical universe. What's next - the acceptance of consciousness prior to matter?

The ultimate quantum computers?
In new research the notion of black holes being quantum computers is being cited. In a NewScientistSpace article, it writes that:
"Nearly all of the information that falls into a black hole escapes back out, a controversial new study argues. The work suggests that black holes could one day be used as incredibly accurate quantum computers -- if enormous theoretical and practical hurdles can first be overcome.
Seth Lloyd of MIT has used a controversial quantum model, which holds that under certain extreme circumstances, such as the intense gravitational field of a black hole, objects that would ordinarily have several options for their behaviour have only one. For example, a black hole could cause a coin thrown into it to always come up "heads".
This allows information to escape from a black hole without any ambiguity about how to interpret it. The information escapes through a quantum process called entanglement."
This shares similarity with Dr. Frank Tipler: "the modern physicist and cosmologist, Dr. Frank Tipler , believes that life will eventually be replicated in an future Omega Point of transcendence. He believes that we will eventually construct a quantum computer that will control the final collapse of space-time, nullifying the doom-ridden “Big Crunch.” He equates this Omega Point/Computer with God, and he says that everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected in it to live a life of eternal bliss. It must be noted; however, Tipler arrived at his notions only through the complete scientific method. He never forced the evidence to fit the theory. In the ultimate irony, Dr. Tipler lived a large portion of his life as an avowed atheist; it is only through his scientific discoveries that he now claims a theological perspective." (from 'Science of the Divine')
So - what will become the ultimate quantum computers: black holes or God? Or a combination of both?

The New Biology
There is so much talk in nanotech circles, even from the Singularity crowd, about nanobots, etc, enhancing the 'new human'. In this wonderful article titled I, Nanobot the author speaks of nanobiotechnology and how this could indeed create the new form of life that will supersede homo sapians, and could even eliminate us:
"So why listen to the voice of one who is not Ishmael, not Cassandra, not even Ralph Nader? Because I can tell you something that no one else can. I can tell you the exact moment when Homo sapiens will cease to exist. And I can tell you how the end will come. I can show you the exact design of the device that will bring us down. I can reveal the blueprint, provide the precise technical specifications. Long before we can melt the polar ice caps, or denude the rain forests, or colonize the moon, we will be gone. And we will not -- definitely will not -- end with a bang or a whimper. The human race will go to its extinction in a state of supreme exaltation, like an actor climbing the stairs to accept an Academy Award. We will exit the stage of existence thinking we are going to a spectacular party....
Scientists are on the verge of breaking the carbon barrier -- creating artificial life and changing forever what it means to be human. And we're not ready, predicts materials scientist Alan H. Goldstein.
He predicts, and warns about, the coming elimination of the barrier between living and nonliving materials with the emergence of "animats" (living materials) -- nanobiotechnology devices that can survive and function inside human beings, derive energy from biological metabolism, and copy themselves by molecular self-assembly.
When that moment happens in the near future, it very likely may be beyond our control: "A nanobiotechnology device that is smart enough to circulate through the body hunting viruses or cancer cells is, by definition, smart enough to exchange information with that human body. This means, under the right conditions, the 'device' could evolve beyond its original function."
He has formulated the three Laws of Nanobotics:
1. The fusion of nanotechnology and biotechnology, now called nanobiotechnology, will result in the complete elimination of the barrier between living and nonliving materials.
2. It is not possible to ensure that devices created using the techniques of nanobiotechnology will only transmit molecular information to the target system.
3. The carbon barrier will be eliminated when humans create the first synthetic molecular device capable of changing the state of a living system via direct, intentional transfer of specific chemical information from one to the other."

Soul catcher
Ex-BT tech visionary and futurist Peter Cochrane has written about many strange possible tech-predictions of the future. One of the projects he envisions is called 'Soul Catcher' -
"a project to capture all of a human's thoughts and feelings on a single silicon chip - the "soulcatcher."
The idea: Implant a computer in the brain, partly to enhance capabilities and partly to provide access to external data. The first step: Connect a chip to the optic nerve and digitize the impulses that run from the eye to the brain."

Supramental awakening
In an interesting Net article titled 'Earth Changes And Planetary Transformation - The Supramental Awakening And Planetary Hope' by Kiara Windrider, I found some relevant discussions of Sri Aurobindo on the subject of the supramental mind:
"The great work of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother was in bringing supramental consciousness down into the cellular consciousness of their own bodies. Since this is a unified consciousness, this meant that the supramental consciousness was simultaneously being brought into the consciousness fields of the Earth, awaiting the moment when it would flower into its full manifestation in collective matter.
With the descent of this new vibratory consciousness all our old obsolete human structures will be demolished. During this process, there would be a transition period which would be chaotic, extremely chaotic, as the last strongholds of greed, fear, and darkness, came up to the surface to be dispelled. Sri Aurobindo emphasized that although the changes will be enormous they did not have to be necessarily catastrophic. The power of Truth automatically erases Falsehood, and our world for the most part consists of Falsehood. Yet, the Supramental, he maintained, carried a power of harmonization which could overcome this resistance by means other than dramatic struggle and violence. The Asuras will eventually be absorbed into their original emanations of Light, Life, Beauty and Truth, and our fractured consciousness will eventually heal. It may be interesting to speculate, with all the violence in the world today, the destruction we might be experiencing if not for this power of harmonization!"
Worth a read...
In the supraconscious sparking of the current species mindfield, there is great need now to ground ourselves as some frequences are becoming chaotically 'vibrant'!
The Great Plan is indeed in motion...

Multiverses...again
A recent Astronomy Picture of the Day took a look at multiple universes - they asked:
"Do nearly exact copies of you exist in other universes? If one or more of the multiverse hypotheses is correct, then quite possibly they do. In the above computer-enhanced illustration, independent universes are shown as independent circles or spheres. Spheres may be causally disconnected from all other spheres, meaning no communications can pass between them. Some spheres may contain different realizations of our universe, while others may have different physical laws. An entire set of parallel universes is called a multiverse. The human eye might represent the possibility that realizations of some multiverse hypotheses might only exist in the human mind."
Is existence layered upon layered of endless interacting, interconnecting universes... all contained, nothing without? Are physical universes the manifestation of mind, of pure consciousness?
Do our lives merge with multiple other lives, other 'selves' in parallel worlds - too many questions for answers to occur. Did Mind create this physical playing field for our conscious evolution to participate, evolve, understand, and finally to embrace and perpetuate...?
Endless spirals...
