Solar Shifts - Solar Rays

SOHO, the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory, is a project of international collaboration between ESA and NASA to study the Sun from its deep core to the outer corona and the solar wind.

SOHO was launched on December 2, 1995. In recent years there has been frenetic activity to observe the sun and its solar cycles, flares, and cosmic radiation. It's almost as if there is some 'fear' about what the sun may do in the near future.



These pictures show the sun's cycle from 1996-2006, with the front image showing 2001 when the sun spot activity was at its peak. I blogged previously about the solar cycle starting a new 11-year solar cycle which is to peak at the end of 2012... it's almost as if the sun - our Solar Ra - is going through its own transformation...



Yet it's not as if the recent increases in cosmic/solar radiation has any effect upon human DNA and evolutionary change, now is it? And so this would have no relationship with the attempt to put chemicals in our atmosphere ('chemtrails') in a bid to reflect back this radiation, is it?


I mean, what has the manipulation and alteration of the ionosphere via HAARP and ELF radiation got to do with the sun's rays anyway?? Doubt if I know....

And now this - according to a Cosmos article titled 'Binary 'deathstar' has Earth in its sights' it appears that 'a rotating binary star system is a ticking time bomb, ready to throw out a searing beam of high-energy gamma rays – and Earth may be right in the line of fire'

Mmm... more potential gamma rays: the future's so bright I gotta wear shades... as the song goes.

My future is in my intention to remain positive and optimistic at all times - and to enjoy as much sunbathing as possible - 'C'mon baby light my cells' as the song goes...

Living the Life

The Spirit does not live in isolation, but walks in life. As Native American 'Grandfather' says:

Grandfather spoke again. "Trying to live a spiritual life in modern society is the most difficult path one can walk. It is a path of pain, of isolation and of shaken faith, but that is the only way that our Vision can become reality. Thus the true Quest in life is to live the philosophy of the Earth within the confines of man. There is no church or temple we need to seek peace, for ours are the temples of the wilderness. There are no spiritual leaders, for our hearts and the Creator are our only leaders. Our numbers are scattered; few speak our language or understand the things that we live. Thus we walk this path alone, for each Vision, each Quest, is unique unto the individual. But we must walk within society or our Vision dies, for a man not living his Vision is living death."

For a long time there was no other conversation. I retired into my own thoughts and doubts. I did not want to live within society, for the wilderness was my home, my love, my life and my spiritual rapture. I could not see why a man could not live his Vision in the purity of wilderness, away from the distractions of society. I could feel no urgency or see any reason why I should take what I have learned back to society.

Grandfather's voice shattered my thoughts. "The Earth is dying. The destruction of man is close, so very close, and we must all work to change that path of destruction. We must pay for the sins of our grandfathers and grandmothers, for we have long been a society that kills its grandchildren to feed its children. There can be no rest, and we cannot run away; far too many in the past have run away. It is very easy to live a spiritual life away from man, but the truth of Vision in spiritual life can only be tested and become a reality when lived near society."

A new solar cycle

It is worth noting that scientists are now declaring that a new 11-year solar cycle has officially begun. And this solar cycle is expected to be one of the highest maximums ever recorded, if trends are to be believed. This means that electromagnetic and radiation disturbances are likely to affect not only communications on and around Earth (including orbital) but also geo-physical variations, as well as human moods and events. The peak of this cycle (being in around 5 years time) is - yes, you guessed it! - end of 2012...

They vary in number – going from a minimum to a maximum and back to a minimum again – about every 11 years, the same timescale on which the Sun's magnetic poles reverse direction.

Real Change is in the Human Psyche

Yes, it's been a little while. A short retreat. Reading and wandering (and wondering). I have a feeling that there will be many changes in 2008, much of this based around the fragility of Western economies. Yet it is not for me to use scare tactics - it is all about preparation.

I wanted to introduce the words of Michael St Clair, a well-known astrologer who predicts major 'problems' in the coming few years and who advocates prudently identifying safe places to live. Yet I like the way he equates 'earth changes' with the state of the human psyche. So, I quote at length from his Zen of Stars webpage:

The problems facing mankind is not of a runaway planet, but is related to the psychic and psychological state of our minds. The unseen reality is that the Earth is protecting us although the eco-system is currently in a state of upheaval and collapse. There are key points in the Solar Systems Galactic orbit where things change, transformation occurs and the magnetic frequency of the earth is altered. It is not only the Earth that undergoes these alterations, but the sun and all the planets undergo the same cyclical changes. The process is totally natural. This cycle of change will happen regardless of the ecological situation on Earth. The problem for mankind is his own state of mind. Human beings are not in danger from the planet they inhabit, they are a danger to themselves. In that respect people are totally out of step with the cycle now unfolding. The popular song and dance about Climate Change is misleading. When St.Clair began to warn people that catastrophic changes would alter the earth, he also pointed out something that most people prefer to ignore, and that is the value of our lives as we enter this time. The quality of human experience has largely degenerated at a time when people need to be alert and sensitive. This is the problem facing human society and not the natural events unfolding in this time. As bad as things appear in terms of physical human pollution and the ecological deterioration of the environment, the real disturbance is the psychic and psychological pollution. The pollution of the way humans think and behave is far more toxic than the physical pollution. It is the disturbance of the psyche that will disable most humans ability to cope with the challenges facing them in the next decade. Our way of thinking is a far greater danger to us than the Earth Changes, but no one wants to seriously address this. The situation we have now, is that at this time of cyclical change in the magnetic field of the earth and the resulting Earth Changes, the support we need from the natural environment is not there. We destroyed it. The local environment is not going to destroy mankind during this planetary upheaval, but how can the environment protect and nourish us when we have destroyed most of it? This goes all the way back to the destruction of the Native cultures living close to the earth. That is the issue facing us, and not global changes in the weather. We are leaving the times of abundance and we are entering times of scarcity. The self self-indulgant and greedy societies we have built will not be able to cope with the harsh reality they are about to face. Rather than look at the earth and grow fearful, we need to take a good look in the mirror and re-align our personalities and our priorities. Who are we (really), why are we here? To indulge? A mind that cannot contain its greed will create conflict when it has to share. This is why Zen of Stars was written, and not to announce that coastlines will be hit by a big wave. Perhaps it is time that we learned some kind of compassion for our surrounding environment, for the animals, birds, plants and trees. The Earth is giving birth to a new age, and by destroying the planet during this process we are killing ourselves. The natural environment we need to see the next generations through the changes is rapidly disappearing. The cause of this destruction lies inside our minds. That is the central issue of Climate Change: The human mind. The human psyche. Not to focus outside, but to be aware of what is going on inside.

Earth Changes

We are indeed living in 'interesting times' as the Chinese curse-blessing denotes. The subject of earth changes will be the subject in coming years... as cosmic influences align with spiritual and physical changes, bringing effects upon a range of behaviour and emotions. The language of mind we adopt in these years will affect greatly the design of reality we experience. I wanted to pass on some words of '2012 philosophy' from a thinker named Simon Hunt taken from an article titled 'Hopi Elders Say Earth Changes Are Upon Us'. I especially found No.7 of interest - the notion of accelerating time and the schumann resonance, something to which I have referred to previously - a shortened online version can be found here:

2012 Unlimited philosophy

1. Humanity and Planet Earth are currently going through a huge change shift in consciousness and reality perception.

2. The Mayan civilization of Central America was and is the most advanced in relation to time-science knowledge. Their main calendar is the most accurate on the planet. It has never erred. They actually have 22 calendars in total, covering the many timing cycles in the Universe and Solar System. Some of these calendars are yet to be revealed.

3. The Mayan fifth world finished in 1987. The sixth world starts in 2012.
So we are currently "between worlds". This time is called the "Apocalypse" or revealing. This means the real truth will be revealed. It is also the time for us to work through "our stuff" individually and collectively.

4. The Mayan sixth world is actually blank. This means it is up to us, as
co-creators, to start creating the new world and civilization we want now.

5. The Mayans also say that by 2012- we will have gone beyond technology, as we know it. We will have gone beyond time and money. We will have entered the fifth dimension after passing through the fourth dimension Planet Earth and the Solar System will come into galactic synchronization with the rest of the Universe. Our DNA will be "upgraded" (or reprogrammed) from the centre of our galaxy. (Hunab Ku) "Everbody on this planet is mutating. Some are more conscious of it than others. But everyone is doing it" -

6. In 2012 the plane of our Solar System will line up exactly with the plane of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. This cycle has taken 26,000 years to complete. Virgil Armstrong also says that two other galaxies will line up with ours at the same time. A cosmic event!

7. Time is actually speeding up (or collapsing). For thousands of years the Schumann Resonance or pulse (heartbeat) of Earth has been 7.83 cycles per second, The military have used this as a very reliable reference. However, since 1980 this resonance has been slowly rising. It is now over 12 cycles per second! This mean there is the equivalent of less than 16 hours per day instead of the old 24 hours. Another interpretation is, we, or rather Consciousness have been down this same road seven times before over the last 16 billion years. Each of these cycles of Creation runs 20 times faster than the last one. The same amount of Creation is paced 20 times tighter. This is why time seems to be going so fast. It is not "time" but Creation itself that is accelerating.

8. During the Apocalypse or the time "between worlds" many people will be going through many personal changes. The changes will be many and varied. It is all part of what we came here to learn or experience. Examples of change could be- relationships coming to an end, change of residence or location, change of job or work, shift in attitude or thinking etc.

9. Remember, in any given moment we are making small and large decisions. Each decision is based on LOVE or FEAR. Choose love, follow your intuition, not intellect and follow your passion or "burning inner desire." Go with the flow.

10. Thought forms are very important and affect our everyday life. We create our reality with thought forms. If we think negative thoughts of others this is what we attract. If we think positive thoughts, we will attract positive people and events.
So be aware of your thoughts and eliminate the unnecessary negative or judgmental ones.

11. Be aware that most of the media is controlled by just a few. Use discernment! Look for the hidden agendas. Why is this information being presented to you? What is "their" real agenda? Is it a case of problem reaction solution? Do "they" create a problem so that "we" react and ask for a fix, then "they" offer their solution? The "solution is what "they" really wanted in the first place.

12. Remember , almost nothing happens by accident. Almost all "events" are planned by some agency or other. Despite this, it is a very exciting time to be alive!

Electromagnetism and the Environment

The uses of electromagnetic low frequency (ELF) waves are still a concern and interest to me. And now that the HAARP project has been officially completed by BAE systems (see press release - also here)this may be more of a concern - and especially so for the global environment.

In 2000 a remarkable book was published - with no fanfare. It was written by Rosalie Bertell (President of the International Institute of Concern for Public Health (IICPH), and Editor in Chief of International Perspectives in Public Health) - the book was called 'Planet Earth: The Latest Weapon of War: The Newest Weapon of War' which examines in detail the military experiments with EM (HAARP), ionosphere, and other radiative pulse technologies, including weather modification, and how these might have been linked with catastrophic changes in global environmental phenomena:

She exposes how the military have, for decades, been secretly conducting experiments, including high-level nuclear explosions, which may disrupt the vital layers of the atmosphere which protect us from the sun's lethal radiation. She says these experiments are often conducted without even discussing with non-military experts the hazards of damaging these life-preserving earth-veils. And she believes that such experiments may already have accelerated global warming and contributed to earthquakes and freak weather conditions.

For an excellent review of the book, see this one written by Anne Baring (review No 1). This book somehow disappeared quietly and quickly from circulation, and can now only be found in a few 2nd hand places (generally as ex-library cast outs). However, it is worth securing a copy...

Of similar material, there is the work of Thomas Bearden - according to Wikipedia:

Tom Bearden has unconventional views on other subjects, some of which could be regarded as conspiracy theories. He believes that Russia developed a weapon in the 1960s which uses "time-polarized EM waves" to disrupt the normal flow of time, and used this in Afghanistan in the 1980s. Bearden has also claimed that Russia used various other technologies in the 1980s to cause the destruction of the Challenger space shuttle and induce "several large earthquakes".

Bearden has written extensively on EM warfare and weaponry, and as yet I am undecided about his credibility, although his material is worth looking at in terms of possibilities...

The question has to be asked - have todays abrupt weather disruptions been a result of intentional technological military intervention as well as the more orthodox human-pollution climate effects?

Moon-based observatories

Following on from recent 'space themes' and news - there has been a recent call for an international effort to develop and deploy monitoring stations on the moon for the study of terrestrial climate change:

Global climate change is driven by an imbalance between incoming energy from the sun and outgoing energy from Earth. Without understanding the climate system's inputs and outputs—its so-called energy budget—it is impossible to tease out the relative contributions of natural and human-induced influences and to predict future climate, Huang said...

...Huang's study demonstrated that signals from the energy budget of Earth's climate system are detectable on the moon and can be useful in monitoring and predicting climate change.

So bases on the moon: not a new idea yet at least this is supposedly for good intentions - monitoring climate change - rather than species colonisation, or others...

A Future of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR)

The issue of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) is something which I have returned to various times. Again, it is in the UK news.

Recently there was a news report here in Britain whereby 'specialists' were recommending parents not to let their children place a laptop computer onto their laps whilst working. The Telegraph in their article 'Warning on wi-fi health risk to children' talk of:

Children should not place computers on their laps while they are using wireless internet connections because of potential health risks, according to a leading Government adviser. A leading Government adviser warns of potential health risks to children using laptops with wireless internet connections.

Professor Lawrie Challis, who heads the committee on mobile phone safety research, called yesterday for pupils to be monitored amid mounting public concern over emissions from wi-fi networks. He is concerned that few studies have been carried out into the level of exposure in classrooms and believes that if health problems do emerge they are likely to be more serious in children.

Also, next week the well-known and reputable UK documentary program - BBC's 'Panorama' - are doing a broadcast on the possible dangers of mobile phones and EMR.

In the UK we also have the problem/issue of TETRA - which is a radio-mast network set-up throughout the UK to provide communications for the emergency services, especially the police force. And there have already been concerns about this network, which is out of the reach of civil authorities since it deals with security communications of 'national interest'.

Stop Future Disasters

Here is a great example of both learning about the future and having fun at the same time!

The United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction group has teamed up with the UK game design studio Playerthree to create the Flash-based “Stop Disasters” game. The goal of the game is to reduce the harmful results of catastrophic natural events — the disaster that gets stopped isn’t the event itself, but its impact on human life.

And here's h ow it works:

The player chooses what kind of disaster is to be faced (earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, wildfire or flood), then has a limited amount of time to prepare for the inevitable. The player can build new buildings, retrofit or demolish old ones, install appropriate defensive infrastructure (such as mangroves along tsunami-prone shorelines or firebreaks around water towers), institute preparedness training, install sirens and evacuation signs, and so forth — all with a limited budget, and with ancillary goals that must be met for success, such as building schools and hospitals for community development, or bringing in hotels for local economic support.

Once the money is spent (or the time runs out), the preordained disaster strikes, and the player gets to see whether his or her choices were the right ones. At the easy level, there’s generally enough money to protect the small map and limited population; at the harder levels, the player must make difficult choices about who and what to save.

Its like playing SimCity yet you can be involved from a few minutes to 25 minutes... and for all ages, believe me!

The New Apollo Program

Brian O'Leary was a NASA scientist-astronaut, assistant professor of astronomy at Cornell University alongside Carl Sagan, and has also taught Physics for Poets and Princeton University (see bio) who over the past twenty years has researched, lectured and written extensively about new paradigms of science and global transformation.

His most recent book Re-Inheriting the Earth describes how we can lift out of ourselves out of our current path of global destruction. Much of his work is based on extensive international travels to some of the best and brightest researchers of new science, new medicine and "free" energy.

He goes on to say:

I asked, "How can the scientific method be applied to studying experiences such as psychic healing, transcendental consciousness, survival after death, communication with nonhuman intelligence, crop circles, and many other things that demand unbiased examination?" I was at first surprised to discover that these fields were scientifically further developed than I had imagined, but none of them had yet been integrated into the mainstream. Some of them had, in fact, been suppressed...

...My current passion is to release our enormous human potential to balance the Earth's environment. This massive task needn't neccessarily force us to immediately adopt radical new technologies before they are thoroughly researched and debated. Free energy is a dramatic example of what could be done to transcend our polluting ways, but we will need to learn to use this resource wisely. Just in case this is abused by military interests, I would go for low technology solutions as backup, for example, hemp biomass, solar, and wind power.

Powerful Magnetic Storm

It seems that the sun has been very active recently, and is emitting powerful electromagnetic energy that may affect people and systems here on earth. According to Russian scientists:

'The largest electromagnetic energy emission in the last 30 years has been recorded on the Sun, the Shernberg State Astronomy Institute said on Thursday. This energy outburst may damage equipment of space satellites, the scientists say. Doctors warn that the emission is dangerous for those afflicted with cardiovascular illnesses as well as for healthy people...

The Sun’s electromagnetic anomaly has not reached the Earth yet. However, the Earth is expected to reach the sunspots quite soon. The encounter may happen this weekend, scientists at the Shternberg Astronomy Institute report. Igor Nikulin says: “If the area of the sunspots does not diminish in three or four days and the emissions continue, it may have a serious influence on the magnetic field of the Earth.” A cloud of hot plasma from the sunspots will make the Earth’s magnetic field vibrate and will cause a powerful magnetic storm.”'

Oil, Smoke & Mirrors

Oil, Smoke & Mirrors is a documentary film (50 mins) that discusses the issue of Peak Oil in the context of the US foreign policy and global climate trends.

This video is a sober and insightful discussion, with interviews with notable figures in both the Peak Oil/Environmental movement, such as Richard Heinberg, as well as political figures.

Definately worth a watch - and opens up the debate on civil unrest in a potential future of further resource scarcity and wars.

And with our help or without it, Mother Nature will sooner or later yank everything we take for granted away. Unless we lay the foundations for a technology and for a civilization able to harness the energies and surmount the floods and freezes of change. What Bloom reminds us of is that the most successful species on this planet is bacteria - and we need to harness our resources and social functioning in similar patterns. In other words, a form of biomimicry. Worth listening to...
